Goram Homes, Bristol City Council's housing company, and Vistry have agreed a deal with housing association Abri to acquire all 130 homes in Phase One of The Fosseway development in Hengrove, South Bristol.
Construction has officially begun on the first major phase of Hengrove Park, South Bristol's new neighbourhood of 1,435 homes, with initial site preparation works now underway. Hengrove Park Phase One is being delivered through a joint venture between Goram Homes and its development partner Vistry. It will provide 209 homes, including 104 homes for social rent and shared ownership.

A detailed planning application for 70 affordable extra care homes for older people has been submitted for Phase Two of The Fosseway development in Hengrove, south Bristol. Bristol City Council has approved Goram Homes’ Business Plan for 2026/27, paving the way for the council-owned housing company to scale up the delivery of new homes across the city. The Business Plan outlines how the company will build more than 1,000 new homes by 2030/31, including around 580 affordable homes, to help tackle the city’s ongoing housing shortage.
